WHO WE ARE
Nexus is a student-run Cornell project team that aims to create novel technologies that global organizations can deploy for social impact. Our current project is an autonomous, solar-powered robot that traverses beaches and filters microplastics—collecting what cleanup volunteers can’t.
As plastic pollution rises, it is more important than ever to act. Nexus aims to lead the fight for environmental conservation through the efforts of an interdisciplinary team. Our mechanical, electrical, software, and business subteams innovate at the intersection of technology and sustainability while sharing our mission with the community and beyond. As our team expands, we plan to use our expertise to tackle global issues and create a positive impact on our planet.
